Leeds United news as pundit admits rewinding Leicester duo's celebration in Whites draw

Here are the Leeds United evening headlines on Friday, April 28.

Pundit admits rewinding Leicester duo's 'shush' celebration against Leeds United

TalkSPORT pundit Gabby Agbonlahor has admitted to 'stopping and starting' Leicester City's goal against Leeds United in midweek simply for the celebrations.

The Foxes equalised through Jamie Vardy late on in the two side's clash earlier this week, but as him and James Maddison wheeled away, the pair appeared to shush the home fans behind the goal.

The Leicester striker is notorious for his wind-up antics after scoring goals, having taunted fans of almost every Premier League team in one or another and Agbonlahor once again appreciated his efforts.

"I loved his [Vardy's] celebration," the former Aston Villa striker said on talkSPORT. "I actually stopped and started it three times. Maddison was shushing the fans. Vardy was shushing the fans.

"They had all celebrated, then Maddison come over for more to shush the Leeds fans even more. That’s what I miss about football, when you celebrate in front of the home fans when you score, it’s unbelievable."

Former Premier League striker Michael Owen believes that Leeds United manager Javi Gracia could have a 'blind spot' to Wilfried Gnonto after he saw no action against Leicester the other night.

The Italian international spent the entire game on the bench despite both calls from fans to bring him on after Luis Sinisterra's injury in the first half, and Rodrigo's substitution in the second half where Gracia instead opted for out-of-form Brenden Aaronson.

Gnonto has often been a bright spark for Leeds in a dim season so far, with pundits and fans alike unable to understand why he's being shunned from the starting XI so often by the Spaniard.

Sean Dyche bemoans bad habit Everton can't kick after Leeds United relegation rivals lose again

Sean Dyche says Everton need to avoid collapsing in games after losing 4-1 against Newcastle United at Goodison Park on Thursday night.

Everton trailed by only one goal for the majority of the game until a quickfire treble from Joelinton, Callum Wilson and Jacob Murphy put the game to bed.

Dwight McNeil's 80th-minute strike merely proved to be a consolation as Everton remain second from bottom and two points adrift of safety with five games remaining. Dyche was "disappointed" by his side's response to going two goals down, and has urged his players to stay in games after conceding.
