Here are the latest Leeds United morning headlines on Saturday, 20 August 2022.
Lage ends Marsch feud
Wolves manager Bruno Lage has put an end to his feud with Leeds United’s Jesse Marsch after receiving an email to clear the air. Lage and Marsch were involved in altercation on the touchline after Leeds’ 2-1 win over Wolves two weeks ago, with the Portuguese alleging Marsch said something he did not like.
Lage refused to shake the hand of Marsch after the match, but speaking in his pre-Tottenham press conference earlier this week, has assured the disagreement is firmly behind them. Via the Daily Mail, he said: “Just now when I was checking email, I had a message from him.
It is in the past. When Leeds play at Molineux, I’ll be on the touchline to shake his hand. “This is part of the game. He didn’t need to send the email because it’s in the past. But it felt good to receive it and we will give him a big welcome later in the season.”

U21s win
Leeds United U21s secured their second win in three Premier League 2 Division 2 matches with a 2-1 victory at Aston Villa. Summer signing Sonny Perkins was at the double as he produced two fine finishes either side of Josh Feeney’s equaliser for the hosts.
These were Perkins’ third and fourth goals in just three games following his move from West Ham United this month, highlighting exactly why Leeds were so keen to bring him to Elland Road. Click here to take a look at William Jackson’s player ratings for the match.
Tuchel in the dugout
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will be in the Elland Road dugout to face Leeds United, even though he received a red card in the Blues' last game against Tottenham Hotspur. The German clashed with Spurs boss Antonio Conte on the side-lines, resulting in both managers being shown red cards shortly after the game ended.
Tuchel has received a one match touchline ban for his actions, but it has been suspended pending the independent Regulatory Commission's written reasons, allowing him to be in the away dugout for the clash at Elland Road on Sunday.
