Marsch explains what Leeds success would look like
Upon replacing Marcelo Bielsa as Leeds boss, Jesse Marsch’s short-term brief will have been very clear and concise: keep the club in the Premier League. With a few positive results since being appointed, the American looks likely to succeed in that regard.
However, given the fact he agreed a three-and-a-half-year contract, there will have also been discussions between him and hierarchy at Elland Road about long-term aspirations. Speaking to BBC West Yorkshire, Marsch admitted that, while it might be some way away at the moment, collecting silverware is one of the aims in the back of his mind.

“What does success mean? I don't do this without the end goal in mind and I don't mind saying we want to win trophies.
“This was a big thing in Germany. You're not supposed to say that. Because you're only setting yourselves up for failure. But come on, man, this is this job. This business is about dreaming big, and pushing every day to try to achieve those goals.”

Berardi’s recollection of Phillips debut seven years ago today
Kalvin Phillips’ league debut for Leeds came exactly seven years today in a manic 4-3 victory defeat away at Wolves. Gaetano Berardi - who was on the pitch alongside the England midfielder - admitted that he knew, despite the defeat, that he would blossom into a top player.
"I remember the game. We lost 4-3. It was a crazy game and, of course, we could see from the start that he was a really good player but especially the first experience he had with the club, he was really young,” he told Sky Sports during Euro 2020.
"[Over] the next years, he started to learn, to train hard. He was a good guy then and he's the same guy now. He deserves what he has achieved in the last year and what he is doing now."

Ian Wright worried about Leeds’ Phillips injury management
As Phillips prepares to make his first Leeds start since December in the trip to Watford, Ian Wright claimed that he is praying the 26-year-old is not being re-introduced prematurely. Making reference to the repeat injuries suffered by Patrick Bamford, the former Arsenal striker is hoping the same doesn’t happen to Phillips.
“To lose for someone that long with a hamstring it was tough,” he told the Wrighty’s House podcast. “When you’ve got an injury like that, every single minute of the day you’re thinking about it. You’re desperate to get back.
“So I just pray to God that it’s [Phillips’ injury] not a breakdown like Bamford. I hope that it doesn’t happen with Kalvin because he’s needed and I just want him to get back really, really strong.”
