Accountability has always been critical to Jesse Marsch in Leeds United’s dressing room and backroom team. The head coach wants his colleagues to take ownership of their own decisions, actions and play their part in the wider machine.
Crysencio Summerville is the latest Whites employee to come under the microscope in this regard. The Dutch winger was flavour of the week in the pre-Bournemouth press conference after his winner at Anfield with numerous questions on the 21-year-old’s development.

Marsch has not been shy in setting out the hurdles Summerville must clear away from matches in order to fulfil his potential, namely a required improvement in his discipline, work ethic and professionalism around Thorp Arch. Leeds United could end eight-month wait while a fans' favourite is set to return vs Bournemouth
Despite leaving Leeds United more than six years ago, Lewis Cook is only now about to make his Elland Road return. The 25-year-old was playing in the top flight with Bournemouth while his first club plugged away in the Championship until they traded places in 2020.
Cook, who was capped by England in 2018, remains one of the best players to graduate from the club’s academy in recent years. Now 25, Cook was sold by Massimo Cellino to the Cherries for an initial £6m at 19-years-old.
This will be Cook’s first appearance at Elland Road since playing for the Whites on April 30, 2016 in a 2-1 defeat to Charlton Athletic.

Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch is likely to have same the squad of players to pick from against Bournemouth as at Anfield last weekend. The Whites defeated Liverpool 2-1 seven days ago and with Luis Sinisterra now set to be missing until after the World Cup, Marsch could stick with the same 20.
Illan Meslier will be looking to pick up where he left off after a man of the match performance against Liverpool, with Rasmus Kristensen, Robin Koch, Liam Cooper and Pascal Struijk all keeping their places in defence.
Should any late injury issues arise at the back Leo Hjelde will be ready to step in on the bench after coming through 90 minutes for the U21s against Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday unscathed.
