Here are tonight's latest Leeds United headlines on Friday, February 11.
Lampard reveals respect for Marcelo Bielsa
The history between Everton's new manager Frank Lampard and Leeds United is notorious, as Lampard was manager of Derby County when an intern was discovered spying on Derby County's training ground the day before a fixture against the Rams in the 2018/19 season.
The incident eventually led to a £200,000 fine which Marcelo Bielsa personally paid but Lampard was particularly upset over the incident and the saga brought extra needle to all the fixtures between Leeds and Derby before the Whites won promotion the next season, even after Lampard left to become Chelsea manager.
In his pre-match press conference before Saturday's match - where Everton host Leeds in Lampard's first home league match as Toffees' boss - the former Chelsea and England midfielder was asked if facing Leeds brought any extra edge for him personally, to which he replied in the negative. In fact, he revealed his respect for the Leeds boss.
"No, not at all. It’s long gone history for me, for Leeds. I’ve actually got complete respect for Marcelo Bielsa as a coach and the way he works.
"It’s relatively unique, the way he works and the results he gets out of it, the players… They’re a good team to watch if you’re a neutral because of the energy, so I’ve got loads of respect for them.
"We’ll just go up against them ourselves and try and get the result and that’s how I feel personally, too."
Everton hit by double injury blow
Leeds' struggles with injuries are well documented this season but their opponents this weekend are another of the Premier League teams who have found their squad heavily compromised by injuries.
This weekend is no different and Lampard confirmed that Demarai Gray and Yerry Mina will both by missing this weekend after injuries forced them off against Newcastle in midweek.
They join a list of unavailable players already featuring Fabian Delph, Vitali Mykolenko, Ben Godfrey and Abdoulaye Doucoure.
However, in more positive news for Lampard, Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be available for the match at Goodison Park.
'Horrible' Everton fans could provide Leeds United advantage
Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster has been active on social media over the last few seasons, running his own podcast and YouTube channel. On his 'Fozcast,' the goalkeeper spoke of the 'horrible' atmosphere at Goodison Park which Leeds could leverage if they put the Toffees under pressure on Saturday.
"One thing I will say though, is if you can get on top of Everton early doors, the Everton fans are horrible to the Everton players," said Foster.
He claimed that this atmosphere 'gets in the Everton players heads' and can prove pivotal in the match.
Leeds' pressing could be the factor which causes the crowd to turn quickly as if Everton's build-up play is full of errors forced by Leeds pressure, the fans will undoubtedly let their players know what they think.
Considering how Leeds recently caused Aston Villa and West Ham issues in this way, this will likely be Leeds' best plan of action.
