Here are the latest evening Leeds United headlines for Tuesday, May 9.
Mark Jackson parts company with relegated MK Dons
Former Leeds United coach Mark Jackson has parted company with MK Dons following the club's final day relegation to League Two on Sunday afternoon.
Jackson, who in charge of Leeds United's U21s before being installed as a first-team coach by Jesse Marsch last year, took over the struggling Dons in December and was charged with masterminding their battle against the drop to the fourth tier. After some promising spells he saw his side fail to win any of their final eight games, with Cambridge United's final day win over Forest Green seeing the U's overtake them and condemn them to the drop.
The club released the following statement on Tuesday afternoon: "Milton Keynes Dons Football Club have parted company with Head Coach Mark Jackson, following the Club’s relegation to Sky Bet League Two.
"Assistant Head Coach Robbie Stockdale and Technical Insights Analyst Aaron Dagger will also depart the Football Club.
"The Club would like to thank Mark, Robbie and Aaron for their efforts during their time at Stadium MK. Everyone at MK Dons wishes them every success in the future.
"Chairman Pete Winkelman will meet with the media on Thursday to address the Club’s relegation to Sky Bet League Two and to discuss next steps for MK Dons."
Sean Dyche sends 'another step' warning to Everton
Sean Dyche has warned his Everton squad that they still have 'three more big steps' to take before their Premier League future is assured.
The Toffees gave their chance of survival a huge boost with a 5-1 victory over Brighton at the Amex Stadium of Monday night, a result which helped send Leeds United into the bottom three, along with Nottingham Forest's win over Southampton.
Everton host title-chasing Manchester City on Sunday, a day after Leeds take on Newcastle United at Elland Road, and Dyche knows that the battle is far from over. However, he insist he has always believed in his players.
Dean Smith admits to Leicester 'worry' amid Leeds relegation battle
Leeds United and Leicester City woke up this morning to find themselves in the bottom three of the Premier League after a remarkable weekend of action.
Sam Allardyce's first game in charge of the Whites saw a respectable, if unsurprising, defeat at Manchester City, which paved the way for others to take advantage. Nottingham Forest and Everton both took their chance on Monday night, Forest beating Southampton 4-3 at the City Ground, while Sean Dyche's men shocked European hopefuls Brighton with a 5-1 win at the Amex.
However Leicester City lost the chance to keep up with their rivals as they were well beaten by Fulham at Craven Cottage, The 5-3 final scoreline flattered the visitors somewhat, with Marco Silva's side 5-1 up at one stage, although the Foxes did also miss a penalty.
