Here are the latest Leeds United evening headlines on Thursday, June 8.
Door opens for Victor Orta's next job
Victor Orta could be set to make a quick return to football after he parted ways with Leeds United last month. According to Spanish outlet AS, the former Whites director of football is a candidate for a sporting director role at Europa League winners Sevilla, where he would replace Monchi, Orta's former boss and mentor.
Orta could have one of his former Premier League rivals to thank for the opportunity, as the report suggests that Tottenham and Aston Villa are both looking at Monchi, but any move would be subject to compensation being agreed.
Orta, who saw an almost six-year spell at Leeds end in May, has often spoken of his admiration for Monchi after serving as his technical secretary and right-hand man in Sevilla between 2006 and 2013.

Forshaw thanks Leeds United fans in emotional message amid uncertain future
Adam Forshaw has sent a message to Leeds United fans as he attempts to come to terms with the Whites’ relegation from the Premier League. Leeds brought an end to their three-year stay in the top flight last month as the 4-1 loss to Tottenham on the final day of the season ensured they finished the campaign on a run of nine games without a win.
As such, United will be plying their trade in the Championship once more next season and plans are starting to be put in place as the club looks to bounce back at the first time of asking. It remains to be seen whether Forshaw will still be at Elland Road, though.
