Here are the latest Leeds United morning headlines on Friday, 11 November 2022.
Carragher blasts defence
Jamie Carragher has blasted Leeds United's back four as 'really poor' individually on Sky Sports' latest episode of the Overlap. Leeds' defence has predominantly consisted of Rasmus Kristensen, Robin Koch, Liam Cooper and Pascal Struijk so far this season, with the Whites having conceded 22 goals in the Premier League.
It has looked particularly shaky in recent weeks, conceding three in each of their last two home games against Fulham and Bournemouth, as well as two in that defensive horror show at Leicester City. Carragher is unsure whether Leeds' style of play is what exposes them, but feels as though there is always an error around the corner.
He said: “I think the back four is really poor individually. I don’t know about the system, but when you see them as players you always feel as though there are mistakes there.”

Harrison strategy
Wingers have become a big talking point at Leeds United in recent weeks with the loan of Daniel James, the injury to Luis Sinisterra, the emergence of Crysencio Summerville, the inconsistency of Jack Harrison and the explosion of Wilfried Gnonto. On Wednesday night, that position was under the spotlight again.
The only survivor from the Bournemouth win was Jack Harrison, who had been hooked at the break against the Cherries. Given Jesse Marsch had made 10 changes, it was a clearly deliberate decision to stop short of wiping the whole team for the sake of it.
Harrison’s form has declined in recent weeks and his half-time withdrawal against Bournemouth summed up where his play has been at of late. Gnonto’s rise and impact from the bench has quickly put the former Manchester City man under pressure.

49ers round-up
In a week where Leeds United found back-to-back wins for the first time this season, they also could find a bit more spare cash sooner rather than later if the potential takeover reports are correct. Their current ownership is made up of an investment arm of American football team San Francisco 49ers - that have 44% - and their majority owner Andrea Radrizzani who owns the other 56%.
Back in 2018, when the 49ers Enterprises first bought 15% of the club, vice-chairman Paraag Marathe was optimistic of the partnership but was hesitant to speak about the possibility of a full takeover. "Professional sports is professional sports - you're trying to take smart ideas and apply them somewhere else to turn those teams into winners.
"From an ownership perspective, our owner is very like-minded and similar to how Andrea is. Andrea is very passionate and is passionate about how they're playing on the pitch and actually wants his team to be successful."
