Here are the latest Leeds United morning headlines on Friday, April 22.
Burnley boss focused after cutting gap to Leeds to five points
Burnley backed up their West Ham draw with an impressive 2-0 victory against Southampton at Turf Moor last night to move within a point of safety. As well as breathing down the necks of Everton, they are now just five points behind Leeds having played the same amount of games.
Along with results of their own, the Clarets will still need some favours from other Premier League teams as their fate remains outside of their own hands. However, interim manager Mike Jackson has claimed they are not worrying about the teams above.

“I am just looking at the next thing this group needs to do and the performance levels they need to hit again,” he told our colleagues at LancsLive.
“I don’t really want to speak about Everton and I don’t think it is right to speak about other teams, I think you should just deal with your own business. Don’t worry about anybody else.”
Leeds U23s preparing for record crowd at Elland Road
Having already sold more than 18,000 tickets for Leeds U23s’ clash with Manchester City at Elland Road this evening, a Premier League 2 record will be broken this evening. The previous record stands at just over 17,000 for an Everton U23s match in 2017.
The match itself is huge for the young Whites who are hoping to avoid relegation from PL2. They are currently four points clear of Chelsea but have played one game more than the Blues and face table-topping City this evening before a trip to face third-placed Arsenal in the last game of the season.
Fans inside Elland Road will recognise a number of the U23s players turning out in white shirts tonight as Charlie Cresswell will captain a side that could also include Joe Gelhardt, Sam Greenwood, Crysencio Summerville and others.

Whelan full of praise for Marsch’s man-management
The appointment of Jesse Marsch has certainly had the desired effect at Leeds in the last few weeks with the Whites picking up 10 points from their last four games. After a shaky first couple of games, the American has brought the supporters onside and Noel Whelan is impressed by what he has seen.
“He has got up to speed pretty quickly from where he was and where the players were,'' the former Leeds forward told Football Insider. “He’s gone in and changed that around. The players have bought into it. He has probably asked the players, one-on-one, what it is they need as well.
“I think it’s really important that you find out from the players first hand so you’ve got something to go off. He’s one of these men that is open to suggestions and he’s open to the players talking to him.
“He’s come in and done a really, really educated job with the players. To do it in such a short space of time is quite incredible. There’s no doubt he has got all the credentials you need to be very successful at Leeds.”
