Rivaldo believes Leeds United winger Raphinha is set for bigger things
Brazilian legend Rivaldo would not be surprised if Leeds United winger Raphinha joins Arsenal this summer.
Raphinha has been subject to intense transfer interest from some of European football's heavyweights, with Barcelona, Liverpool and Arsenal all said to be keen on the winger.
Barcelona's financial woes mean they need to sell before they can register new players, while Liverpool have already made their big summer splash in Darwin Nunez leaving the Gunners out in front.
And Rivaldo, who won 74 caps for Brazil, as well as the 2002 World Cup, reckons a move to Arsenal would increase the 25-year-old's chances of being heavily involved with the national team ahead of Qatar 2022.
"Arsenal are still chasing Raphinha's signature, and could go over €50million (£43million) to achieve it," Rivaldo told Betfair.
"Nowadays, Raphinha is seen as a big player in English football and is a regular in the Brazilian national team, so, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him move to a bigger Premier League club, which would mean that his presence at the World Cup will become even more likely, especially as he has been a regular in Tite's squads lately."
