Leeds United loan watch as Joe Gelhardt and Diego Llorente handed debuts

Joe Gelhardt was handed his first start for Sunderland, who salvaged a 1-1 draw against Millwall at The Den courtesy of Dennis Cirkin's 81st minute equaliser.

Jake Cooper opened the scoring for the Lions in the 59th minute, but Sunderland kept their Championship play-off hopes alive by registering a point in the capital.

Gelhardt joined Sunderland on loan from Leeds towards the end of the January transfer window, and is now tasked with replacing star striker Ross Stewart, who has been ruled out with an Achilles injury for the rest of the season.

Diego Llorente was presented with his AS Roma debut as a 95th-minute substitute in a 2-0 victory over Empoli. Roger Ibanez broke the deadlock inside just two minutes, before Tammy Abraham added a second four minutes later.

Charlie Cresswell made his first start for Millwall in the Championship since early December. The defender spent five games as an unused substitute, before being introduced in the 89th minute in their 1-0 win over Cardiff City. But Gary Rowett restored Cresswell to the starting XI for their 1-1 draw at home to Sunderland. Meanwhile, Jamie Shackleton was not called upon from the bench by Rowett.

Ian Poveda was left on the bench for Mick McCarthy's first league game as Blackpool boss. He was brought on with nine minutes remaining, but the Seasiders succumbed to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.

Tyler Roberts was sidelined for Queens Park Rangers' 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town after he was subbed off with a hamstring problem in their 3-0 drubbing at Hull City. Helder Costa started for Al-Ittihad, who secured a 1-0 victory over Al-Ta'ee courtesy of Igor Coronado's 95th minute winner. Al-Ittihad now sit level on points with league leaders Al-Nassr and second-place Al-Shabab.

Cody Drameh was replaced after 62 minutes on his second start for Luton Town. The right-back received a booking in the 42nd minute, as the Hatters prevailed 1-0 over Stoke City at Kelinworth Road.

Dan James was left on the bench for Fulham's 0-0 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The Wales international has started just three games for the Cottagers in the Premier League this term, and has played just 14 minutes across their last five league games.

Leo Hjelde completed 90 minutes as Rotherham United impressively held Championship promotion chasers Sheffield United to a goalless draw at the New York Stadium.

Stuart McKinstry started the second successive game on the bench, and was introduced in the 56th minute as Motherwell suffered a 3-1 defeat at Aberdeen. Motherwell have now lost three games on the bounce, and have gone 11 without registering a win to sit second from bottom in the Scottish Premiership.

Jack Jenkins was left out of Salford City's squad for the ninth straight game, as they defeated Rochdale 2-1 at the Peninsula Stadium. The 20-year-old has amassed just four appearances for Salford in League Two, and last featured as a last-minute substitute in a 3-0 win over Gillingham on December 3.

Alfie McCalmont was an unused substitute for the second game on the bounce in Carlisle United's 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Harrogate Town. McCalmont starred from the bench in his first three games, but has not been called upon in their previous two outings against Barrow and Harrogate Town respectively.

Lewis Bate played the full 90 minutes in Oxford United's 1-0 defeat against Shrewsbury Town at the Kassam Stadium. The U's have lost all four of their League One games since their memorable 2-1 victory over Ipswich Town in January..
