All four of Leeds United's EFL loanees featured for their respective clubs on Tuesday evening. Charlie Cresswell and Jamie Shackleton (Millwall), Tyler Roberts (QPR), and Lewis Bate (Oxford United) all started - but none of them ended up on the winning side.
Here's a look at how they each got on in the midweek fixtures and how they've fared during their loan spells so far.
Charlie Cresswell
It's been anything but a dull start to life at Millwall for Cresswell. He began his spell at the Lions with a brace and a clean sheet on his debut against Stoke City, before following that up with a costly individual error in a 2-0 defeat to Sheffield United.
Millwall then came from 2-0 down to beat Coventry City on Saturday, and they scored two stoppage-time goals to draw with Swansea City on Tuesday. Cresswell has started all four of Millwall's league games so far this season, but he was taken off by manager Gary Rowett on 65 minutes against Swansea, replaced by a midfielder as the Lions looked to attack the game.
Cresswell has two goals and one clean sheet across four league appearances for Millwall.
Jamie Shackleton
Like Cresswell, Shackleton has started all four of the Lions' opening Championship fixtures. He has played marginally less minutes than the 19-year-old, with Shackleton playing 317 to Cresswell's 322.
The versatile midfielder was replaced by George Saville against Swansea on 64 minutes. Millwall have started the season in impressive fashion, sitting fourth in the Championship table, and both Leeds loanees look as though they'll play a crucial role in any success they have.
Tyler Roberts
Roberts made his first start for QPR having impressed from the bench in successive matches. The 23-year-old missed the first two games of the London club's season through injury, but then scored a screamer from the bench in the Carabao Cup tie at Charlton Athletic, before changing the game in QPR's 2-2 draw at Sunderland on Saturday, with pundit Jamie Mackie hailing his impact.
The Wales international was rewarded with his first start in blue and white hoops on Tuesday evening, but QPR fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to Blackpool. Roberts played 80 minutes before being replaced by Olamide Shodipo. He has played 124 minutes across his two Championship appearances so far.
Lewis Bate
Bate also made his first league start for his loan club, named in the starting XI for Oxford United's 2-1 home defeat to Lincoln City on Tuesday. The 19-year-old started in the Yellows' Carabao Cup penalty shootout victory over Swansea last week, but before the Lincoln defeat, had been limited to substitute appearances in the league.
Bate played just short of an hour in his first League One start, replaced by James Henry with the home side 2-0 down to the Imps. Across three appearances for Oxford so far, Bate has played 103 minutes. The Yellows are 19th in the table having recorded just one win in their opening four League One matches.
