Johnny Giles has accused the Leeds United board of bringing a lot of the club's current problems on themselves, and believes sacking Marcelo Bielsa was a "bad move". Sam Allardyce was announced as Leeds' third manager of the campaign after the club chose to sack Javi Gracia following a run of just three wins in 11 league games.
The departure of sporting director Victor Orta was announced earlier this week, and the Whites have just four games to rescue themselves from the drop.
Allardyce starts his rescue mission at table toppers Manchester City on Saturday, with Leeds only separated from the relegation zone on goal difference. Leeds legend Giles has claimed the club would not be in this situation had they backed Bielsa.

“When you look at Leeds’ situation, they brought an awful lot on themselves”, Giles told the Off The Ball podcast.
“I mean, like with Bielsa, would they be in any worse situation than they are now? Now this is the third manager since Bielsa went, but they never backed Bielsa at all.
“Bielsa did not just perform; he performed miracles for them and they got rid of him. The three big guys, unless this guy does a miracle and saves them, you know, the two managers they got, Jesse Marsch and this other guy [Javi Gracia], came in. They could not be worse off if they kept Bielsa. It was a bad move.”
