Leeds United injury list and return dates as Marsch hopeful over Patrick Bamford 'solution'

Leeds United only have four days in between their Newcastle United draw and their upcoming match against West Ham United, but that's enough time for them to have at least two players return from the injury table.

After Jack Harrison and Crysencio Summerville returned for their trip to St. James' Park, that only leaves three names not immediately available to Jesse Marsch and his staff as they prepare to host the Hammers.

Here's who's been taking up spaces on the Whites' injury tables and will miss out against West Ham on Wednesday night...

Patrick Bamford - groin

Bamford has had a torrid season with injuries, and not much has gone right for him so far this campaign. However, Marsch believes his groin surgery he had before their winter break training camp will see him in good stead to return soon.

What Marsch said (Jan 3rd): "I think he’s been generally positive and hopeful that this surgery is the solution. Obviously he’s disappointed that it’s taken longer than we’d hoped but we still have a big hope that this will be a difference maker in terms of getting him to 100%."

Potential return date: Late January

Luis Sinisterra - foot

Sinisterra has been missing for 10 weeks with his Lisfranc injury, and has recovered well over that period, with him being on the cusp of rejoining the squad.

What Marsch said (Jan 3rd): "Luis is making very good progress. He’s been on the pitch doing individual work which is the next big phase for him, I would think maybe in 10 days he'll be with the team.

"This Lisfranc injury is strange and so it's not always easy to know exactly how it's going to respond. But right now a lot of real positive signs which would be good for us."

Potential return date: 13/01/23

Stuart Dallas - leg

Dallas continues his recovery from a fractured femur that he suffered in April last year. He was, however, forced to undergo a second surgery to 'clean some things up' with an apparent thigh issue before Christmas.

What Marsch said (Jan 3rd): "Stuart is working really hard every day and making good progress. It’s too difficult to give a prognosis right now."

Potential return date: Unknown
