Jesse Marsch will be seeking to kickstart his time as manager of Leeds United with a win against Norwich City on Sunday. The American has lost both his games since taking over as manager of the club - the first an undeserved loss at Leicester, whilst the second saw his side comprehensively beaten 3-0 by Aston Villa - and he will hope for a big response against the Premier League's bottom club.
Should the Whites lose the game, they will be in sever relegation danger, whilst a win could be the springboard they need to find the form to navigate their way to safety. Marsch will be able to call on Patrick Bamford again as the striker played the last half an hour of Thursday night's loss. However, there is still an extended injury list to cope with.
Here it is in full:
Junior Firpo - knee
The left back was stretchered off late on against Aston Villa and whilst the club have not yet provided an update on the extent of the injury, Marsch said it 'looked a bad one' after the game and that it could be an MCL [medial collateral ligament] injury, which would rule Firpo out for months.
Tyler Roberts - hamstring
Roberts was ruled out of the rest of the season after injuring himself soon after coming onto the pitch in Marsch's first game in charge. A challenge caused his leg to jolt and he tore his hamstring, which has required surgery.
Kalvin Phillips - hamstring
Leeds' talismanic midfielder has been missing since the Brentford game in December, where he injured his hamstring.
The England international had surgery on the injury and has been pictured back in training recently but Marsch stated he didn't expect Phillips to make a full return until the international break at the end of the month.
Liam Cooper - hamstring
Making up a trio of hamstring injuries, Cooper also tore his hamstring in the Brentford match. However, Marsch claimed that Cooper is ahead of Phillips in terms of being near to a return. However, he may not be able to feature in the Wolves games, which is the last game before the international break.
Leo Hjelde - knee
The young Norwegian twisted his knee in the 3-0 loss to Everton in February. Surgery was also required to fix the issue but Marsch was hopeful that he would feature again this season, although no date has been given for his return.
