Leeds United are in 'advanced talks' to sign in-demand teenage striker Lewis Pirie, according to the Daily Record. The Whites have reportedly seen off competition from a number of Premier League clubs to land the 16-year-old.
Leeds remain in the midst of takeover limbo and without a head coach, although former Norwich City boss Daniel Farke appears to be the frontrunner. But having been linked to Pirie previously, it looks as though Leeds have pressed ahead with their long-standing interest in Pirie.
Here is all you need to about the striker who could be about to make the move to Elland Road.
Who is Pirie and where does he play?
Pirie is a striker who has played for Aberdeen's youth teams since 2020. According to Transfermarkt, the teenager has previously represented Dyce Boys Club and Dundee FC.

Why are Leeds interested in Pirie?
Rumours over Pirie's future have been ongoing throughout the season due to the teenager's sensational form. In the end, the Scotland under-16 international finished with 51 goals for club and country last season.
The latest report suggests Leeds have seen off competition for Pirie from the likes of Celtic, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United. Brighton, Everton and Rangers have also previously been credited with an interest in the striker.
As well as Pirie, Leeds are also said to be close to signing talented Hamilton teenager Joshua McDonald.
What has been said about Pirie?
Reflecting on the rumours in December, Dons boss Jim Goodwin told reporters: "Young Lewis is a player that I really like. I had a conversation with him recently as we were short of numbers on the Friday and brought him over to train with the first team.
“He is still only 15 and not 16 until January. He is a young, exciting prospect and I just hope he can see his long-term future here at Aberdeen.
“Fingers-crossed Lewis, along with all the other good young ones who are attracting attention, can see the bigger picture. That Aberdeen will give them the best opportunity of having a fantastic career.”
How close are Leeds to signing Pirie?
Aberdeen offered Pirie a professional contract, but it appears Leeds have won the race for his signature. Talks over a move are said to be 'advanced', with the expectation being the striker would arrive on scholarship terms before signing a professional conract on his 17th birthday.
How much will the transfer cost Leeds?
The exact terms are unclear, with the report suggesting negotiations over the cost are ongoing. Aberdeen would ordinarily be due a compensation fee, but in this case it appears an agreement on a fee with add-ons will likely be struck.
The report does indicate it would be a six-figure sum to land Pirie.
