Leeds United headlines as Raphinha nears exit to 'finalise' dream move

Here are the latest Leeds United evening headlines on Sunday, July 10.

Raphinha expected to finalise dream move

Raphinha is expected to arrive in Barcelona on Monday as he looks to 'finalise' his dream move to the Catalan club, according to reports coming from Spain.

The winger was left out Jesse Marsch's 26-man squad for Leeds' pre-season tour of Australia this month. The 25-year-old, who has had interest from Chelsea as well as Barcelona, is set to leave the Whites this summer.

Reports in recent days have suggested that Barcelona have met Raphinha's £60 million price tag, although the Spanish club don't want to pay anything until next year and then want to split the fee into instalments. According to Sport, the player is expected to arrive in Catalonia to help thrash out a deal.

There are suggestions that Leeds target Charles De Ketelaere could be nearing an exit from Club Brugge. The 21-year-old was not in the squad for Brugge's friendly against FC Kobenhaven on Saturday.

It hasn't been made clear whether De Ketelaere missed out due to injury concerns, or if it was to do with his transfer market status.

The striker is being chased by Leeds and AC Milan, with reports stating that a move to the Italian giants is the player's preferred option. Football Italia have reported that Milan plan to match the reported £32 million bid that Leeds have made for De Ketelaere.

In an interview with Bild, Koch said: "I am happy about every reinforcement. The club has done a great job. Tyler, in particular, has often shown what he can do in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig.

"He's a top player, and from what I can tell from the first few days, he's also a top guy. He and the other newcomers will strengthen our team enormously."
