Jack Harrison's transfer position clarified amid Leeds United exit speculation
It's safe to say Jack Harrison's comments last week raised a few eyebrows. An on pitch post match interview saw the Leeds winger reply to a question about his future with: "We'll see, we'll see what happens."
Of course, the response to Harrison's comments weren't the most measured. The 25-year-old has drawn interest from Newcastle United this summer. In truth, the interview was rushed and Harrison was seemingly caught of guard by the question.
And Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch has clarified where the club stands on Harrison's future, reiterating the winger is fully committed to the Whites.
“Jack really didn't mean to bring any attention to it and I'm sure he'll have his chance to give his side of things," Marsch told reporters in Australia.
"But I know he's happy here. I know he loves playing for the club and he and I have a great relationship, and he knows how important I think he is to what we're doing here in the future.”
Jesse Marsch gives Archie Gray fitness update as Leeds United boss assesses injury situation
Jesse Marsch hopes to be able to call on Leeds United youngster Archie Gray on Friday as the Whites take on Crystal Palace in the final game of their pre-season tour of Australia.
The youngster was stretchered off during Sunday’s clash with Aston Villa at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane after being caught on the ankle by John McGinn.
Suggestions after the game were that 16-year-old had sprained his ankle, but Marsch has revealed he will be training on his own today at the Fremantle Oval and could be set to be involved in some capacity on Friday night at Perth’s Optus Stadium.
Leeds United 'actively pursuing' forward and left-back as Marsch offers transfer update
Leeds United are assessing a number of left-back options after deeming it necessary to step into the transfer market, according to head coach Jesse Marsch.
The Whites are without a senior left-back at present following the injury Junior Firpo picked up in the pre-season friendly clash against Blackpool earlier this month. In addition to their search for a left-back, Marsch also admitted the club are still looking for a man to add to their forward ranks, too.
The Leeds boss confirmed the club are interest in Club Brugge forward Charles De Ketelaere but did say the club are looking at other options.
