Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani sends former Whites striker Luciano Becchio 'amazing gift'

Former Leeds United forward Luciano Becchio has revealed Whites owner Andrea Radrizzani recently sent him an "amazing gift".

Becchio was a fan favourite during his time at Elland Road and is fondly remembered for his exploits in front of goal. The Argentine striker bagged 86 goals in 221 appearances for the Whites between 2008 and 2013.

Taking to social media, Becchio posted a video where he unboxed a brand new Leeds United shirt with a thank you message inside from Radrizzani.

He tweeted: "Thank you very much @LUFC @andrearadri for the amazing gift."

Victor Orta insists Marcelo Bielsa exit was correct decision despite 'eternal' Leeds United legacy

Leeds United director of football Victor Orta says Marcelo Bielsa is the "greatest manager" in the club's modern history, but insists that sacking the Argentine was the correct decision.

Bielsa's time at Elland Road came to an end in February following a dismal run of form which culminated in a 4-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. Jesse Marsch came in to replace Bielsa and helped guide Leeds to safety on the final day of the Premier League season last term.

“There was no particular moment when confidence was lost,” Orta told The Telegraph. “There was a feeling that a change was needed and we went for it. Marcelo is and always will be Leeds history, his legacy will be eternal.

“He is the greatest manager in the club's modern era. It was a very complicated and tough decision to make, mentally difficult to manage. But it worked.”
