Leeds United have been hit by a significant injury blow in their fight with Nottingham Forest for Premier League survival.
The Whites are 16th in the Premier League table - only above Forest on goal difference - and clear of the bottom three relegation places by a point with five games to play.
Leeds were in action 24 hours before Forest this week when they played out a 1-1 draw with another of their relegation rivals in Leicester City. Winger Luis Sinisterra opened the scoring at Elland Road before Jamie Vardy equalised with 10 minutes left to play.

But 12 minutes after scoring, Sinisterra was forced off with an ankle injury, and Leeds manager Javi Gracia has now confirmed that he will miss the rest of the season.
“Luis will be out for the rest of the season,” he said at a press conference on Friday. “It is something in his ankle, in the ligament."
Leeds face another crucial game in their fight against relegation on Saturday when they travel to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
The Cherries moved further away from the bottom three on Thursday with a 1-0 win over Southampton. Following the trip to Bournemouth, Leeds travel to the Etihad Stadium to take on Manchester City.
In their final three games, Leeds host Newcastle United, travel to West Ham and then take on Tottenham at home in the final game of the season. They will now face those games without Sinisterra.
The 23-year-old has scored five goals in 19 Premier League appearances so far this season, including three in his last six appearances.
Gracia also confirmed that defender Max Wober is a doubt for the weekend’s game vs Bournemouth. The centre-back missed the clash against Leicester with a hamstring problem and is yet to return to training.
