Two fixtures have been rescheduled for Leeds United by the Premier League in their latest reshuffle of the programme.
Aston Villa’s December 28 trip to Elland Road, postponed because of United’s Covid breakout at Christmas, has finally been rescheduled.
The Villans will visit West Yorkshire in a 7.45pm kick-off on Thursday, March 10. The match will be broadcast live on Amazon Prime.
As a result of that change, there is a knock-on effect for the previously agreed 3pm slot two days later, when Norwich City were set to visit Elland Road.
That six-pointer will now be played at 2pm on Sunday, March 13 to allow enough recovery time for the hosts.
Fans are unlikely to ignore the extra rest that now gives the Canaries in what could be a critical clash for both sides trying to escape the bottom five.
Norwich will have eight days after a home match with Brentford before travelling to Leeds, while the Whites will have just three days between Villa and Dean Smith’s side.
