Leeds United suffered a chastening evening as they were beaten 6-0 by Liverpool at Anfield.
There were three goals in each half, as Mo Salah scored two first-half penalties, either side of a Joel Matip goal. Liverpool then appeared to keep Leeds at arms length in the second half before putting on the accelerator again in the late stages of the game as they scored three more times in the last ten minutes as Sadio Mane bagged a brace and Virgil Van Dijk headed in from a corner with the last act of the game.
To make matters worse for the Whites, Burnley defeated Tottenham Hotspur, meaning that they climbed to within three points of Marcelo Bielsa's side with two games in hand over the Whites.
