Leeds United have put minds at ease with one fitness boost ahead of Sunday’s clash with Manchester United.
Marcelo Bielsa stopped short of declaring Stuart Dallas was definitely available for the match in Friday morning’s press conference.
He said: “Dallas is recovering, he hasn't been discarded from Sunday's game.”
Neither ruled in nor out, Bielsa left the door open for speculation and hopes for the best, but it turns out Dallas has been far from laid up in the medical room all week.
While Bielsa’s description may have cast visions of an 11th-hour fitness test with a player who has been on his back all week, the reality is much more favourable.
In the latest training video released by the club, filmed on Wednesday or Thursday based on the under-23s involved, Dallas is with the main group on the pitches at Thorp Arch.
It remains to be seen just how his body reacts between now and kick-off on Sunday, but the footage at least shows Dallas has an excellent chance of being available for the game.
