Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch has revealed that he was invited on set when the fictional American television series Ted Lasso was being filmed earlier this year.
Marsch has always looked to distance himself from the fictional character, who took over an English team without any knowledge of the sport. Nonetheless, Marsch admits he would’ve loved to have attended, but decided to reject the offer as he was busy steering Leeds away from the relegation zone.
“They were filming in London and they gave me an invitation but it was in the middle of the relegation fight,” Marsch told ESPN. “But I’m a huge Jason Sudekis fan and so any time I could be on set or see what’s going on, that would be really awesome.
