Jesse Marsch has outlined that Leeds United simply need to concentrate on themselves if they are to survive this season in the Premier League. Speaking in his pre-Crystal Palace press conference, Marsch answered questions about the scrap at the bottom of the table.
When asked how many teams he believed were in the fight, he said that: "It depends on every result really. I don’t really care about anyone else. Of course, when you watch the other games, it’s helpful when they don’t get points but you have to expect, I said it right after the Watford game that, by the time we play our match at Palace, the table will look a lot tighter and a lot different and it already has shown that. We just have to take care of ourselves."
The American will have been encouraged by Watford's heavy loss away to Manchester City on Saturday, meaning that Leeds maintain an 11-point gap to the Premier League's 19th-placed club. Additionally, Newcastle's 3-0 win at Norwich has put the Canaries on the brink of relegation.
