Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch is reportedly a target for Southampton as a potential replacement for Ralph Hassenhuttl. That's according to The Times, who claim the Whites boss and Steve Cooper are of potential interest to the Saints hierarchy.
Hassenhuttl is coming under increased pressure on the south coast, having picked up just two wins and a draw from their opening eight fixtures. The Saints were booed off the field during their 2-1 defeat to Everton, with players reportedly losing faith in their manager.
Both Marsch and Cooper are currently under contract and compensation would be owed to both clubs if they were to leave. While Cooper has struggled to pick up points with Nottingham Forest after their return to the Premier League, the club have today reasserted their confidence in him, with the 42-year-old signing a new contract that runs until 2025. Marsch's deal at Elland Road also runs until the summer of 2025, making a sideways Premier League move extremely unlikely.

The report claims the German has just two weeks to save his job, with Manchester City and West Ham next up for the struggling Saints.
“I’ve been here a long time,” Hasenhüttl, 55, said. “We’ve had tough times and good times and I don’t have a different feeling than every other Premier League manager. You need results and wins and you need to concentrate on them.
“We’ve had better periods that’s for sure and we’re facing Man City [next]. We know what team we’re facing but I know we drew twice against them last season and were one of few teams to take a point off them at the Etihad. That’s what we’re concentrating on, the rest is up to you guys [the media].”
