Leeds United have every right to be pleased with their efforts after six Premier League games this season. The Whites have secured eight points so far under Jesse Marsch and the American head coach will feel confident that his side will be able to kick on in what promises to be the strangest of seasons.
The Premier League will come to a halt in a couple of months as focus turns to the World Cup in Qatar and if Leeds can build on that points per game ratio, they will be sitting comfortably come November 12. Marsch will be targeting points from every game Leeds play between now and then, but Leeds’ best performances so far this season have, without a shadow of a doubt, come at Elland Road.
United have seen off Chelsea and Wolves on home soil, while they have also been held to a draw by Everton, ensuring all but one of their points have been picked up in familiar surroundings. Marsch’s side have also navigated themselves through what had the potential to be a banana skin Carabao Cup tie against Barnsley.
