Leeds taxi drivers' strike to hit Saturday night as council warns people to make other plans

Taxi and private hire drivers will take part in a strike during Leeds' busiest night of the weekend, Leeds City Council (LCC) has confirmed.

The strike action will take place in Leeds between 10pm on Saturday and 6am on Sunday, leaving party-goers who would normally use taxis to get home in the lurch.

LCC has today (Fri) spoken out in response to the strike and has pleaded with drivers planning to take part to reconsider.
