Leeds Rhinos have issued an update on the condition of players Bodene Thompson, Cameron Smith and Harry Newman after the trio picked up injuries following Friday night's win at Hull KR.
The Rhinos took a huge stride towards the play-offs with a 28-20 win over the Robins but are now facing the prospect of even more selection issues after the trio were all forced from the field and could be out for some time.
Unfortunately for Newman, his injury is a reoccurrence of the hamstring injury that has twice kept him out this season, will be the most concerning given his importance to the side and his dreams of representing England in this year's World Cup. The Rhinos star will have scans in the following days to ascertain the extent of his injury, with an update likely later next week.

Both Smith and Thompson were forced to leave the ground during the game to be taken to hospital, with the pair travelling to Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield, leaving Rhinos coach Rohan Smith facing more selection headaches.
However, the good news is the pair were discharged safely last night after Cameron Smith had a thumb injury that required stitches, but the following scans revealed he has not suffered a fracture. Whereas Thompson suffered a rib injury and was taken to hospital due to the pain he was suffering however he was discharged with no further complications. A further update will be provided in the up and coming days.
