Leeds Rhinos player ratings after miserable St Helens drubbing

Leeds Rhinos were kept scoreless as they went down 26-0 to Super League champions St Helens at Headingley.

Here are the player ratings.

Jack Walker - 5: Safe defensively but came up with some poor plays with the ball, whether it be passing too early or taking the wrong choice. The first tackle pass to Liam Tindall, which saw the winger bundled out 15 metres out, was a poor play at a crucial time.

Liam Tindall - 6: Did OK, lively with his carries and beat men.

Tom Briscoe - 5: Defended well for the most part but offered little to nothing in attack. Could have arguably done better for Dodd's try but couldn't do enough to stop Percival from offloading.

Jack Broadbent - 4: Torrid first-half summed up by a really poor effort to stop Konrad Hurrell for the first try. Looked nervous in defence all night.

Ash Handley - 6: The one consistent performer in this Leeds side. Not spectacular but solid again.

Liam Sutcliffe - 4: Thurst into an unfavoured position and it showed. Was a running threat at times but not much passing wise. Threw a shocking pass for Makinson's intercept try.

Blake Austin - 4: The season summed up by his baffling decision to kick on the first tackle from a scrum after Saints dropped it 40 out. Took the line on at times but never troubled Saints.

Mikolaj Oledzki - 7: Solid performance and got through work while clearly hurt to help his side.

Kruise Leeming - 6: A quiet evening for Leeming but tried to spark his side up and kicked a 40-20. Played the full 80.

Matt Prior - 6: Not quite the reliable pillar of excellence he was in his first two seasons so far this term. Did OK.

James Bentley - 6: Tough this because he produced a bundle of energy and really took it to his former club with defensive intent. But there are still too many penalties in his game. Had it not been for that he'd have been Leeds' best on the night as he produced more positive contributions than any other player.

Rhyse Martin - 5: Quiet on a night Leeds needed his strike. A few iffy moments defensively.

Cameron Smith - 7: Much improved on recent weeks. Better defensively and tried to steer the pack around with the ball in difficult circumstances.

Jarrod O'Connor - 5: Didn't make much of a stamp on the game after coming on in the second half.

James Donaldson - 5: Always brings energy but he's not causing as many issues for opponents so far this year.

Muizz Mustapha - 6: Showed up well with some nice defensive contacts during his cameo.

Morgan Gannon - 6: Got stuck in as ever and didn't let his teammates down.
