For a generation of rugby league fans, Sonny Bill Williams was the inspiration, the idol and the icon.
The Kiwi megastar is one of the most recognisable athletes on the globe and is currently throwing himself all into boxing after an incredible dual-code career in rugby.
He did, of course, have a very short, and sadly forgettable, spell in Super League with Toronto Wolfpack, only for their demise to cut his time in the competition painfully short.
That didn't stop him making friends during his time with the Wolfpack, however, and SBW certainly hasn't forgotten his rugby league roots after meeting up with three current Super League stars, including two from Leeds Rhinos.
Williams revealed on Twitter that he had spent time with Rhinos duo Mikolaj Oledzki and Bodene Thompson over the weekend, with the pair travelling to Ireland to meet him. Also included was Huddersfield Giants centre Ricky Leutele. Both Thompson and Leutele are known allies of Williams following their time together with Toronto, while Oledzki seemingly couldn't miss up on the opportunity to rub shoulders with the man himself.
All three will be in action on Saturday, with Thompson and Oledzki set to line up for Richard Agar's Rhinos in their Channel 4 encounter with Warrington Wolves, the first free-to-air game in Super League history. Leutele could also be in action when Huddersfield travel to Toulouse for the French club's first-ever Super League game.
Meanwhile, Williams is preparing to fight another former NRL player in Barry Hall, with a date for the bout fixed for March 23rd. He remains undefeated throughout his competitive career.
