Rohan Smith is wasting no time getting stuck in to his role with Leeds Rhinos. The new Headingley chief picked up his first win on Friday as his side overcame Wakefield Trinity, but he didn't spend too much time celebrating over the weekend.
The Rhinos squad have been given some time off given they have no game this week, with many of the players enjoying a day at the races on Saturday. Smith, however, used his weekend to take in another game of rugby.
He was among the spectators at the LNER Stadium on Sunday as York City Knights hosted Halifax Panthers in the Championship. The match was a battle between third and fourth in the second tier and Smith watched on as the Panthers secured an impressive 40-24 victory.

Australian winger Lachlan Walmsley, who was linked with Wigan Warriors last year, bagged a hat-trick in Fax's seven-try performance, which was also their seventh straight win. under head coach Simon Grix.
Smith has experience of coaching in the competition following his spell with Bradford Bulls before he returned down under to continue his coaching career. He became the head coach of North Devils in 2018 and guided them to Queensland Cup glory last season ahead of his move back to the UK.
