The Leeds Rhinos shop based at the Merrion Centre has closed.
This news will come as a disappointment to fans of Leeds Rhinos. At the end of January, we saw stock in the Merrion Centre store being boxed up and approached the club for comment.
A spokesperson said: “I can confirm we have moved permanently to the Headingley Stadium store - the Merrion store is now closed permanently.”

In November 2020, we brought you news of the Leeds Rhinos shop opening in Leeds city centre.
The store created six new jobs and was managed by Elite Pro Sports - a specialist in franchising professional sporting clubs.

At the time, Lee Jenkinson, Elite Pro Sports chief executive officer, said: “The Merrion Centre is a truly vibrant area of the city centre and we are excited to bring Leeds Rhinos merchandise here as the footfall is very much our target audience.
“It’s a long time since the Leeds Rhinos has had a store in the city, so we feel fans will be eager to buy the new look kit from their favourite local team.”
Unfortunately, this is the second Leeds city centre shop closure we’ve brought you this weekend following the news of Hamleys shutting their Leeds Trinity store.
