Liam Sutcliffe will return to action in Leeds Rhinos pre-season clash with Bradford Bulls - and will captain the side in doing so.
The long-serving academy product will mark his return from a micro-fracture injury in the contest at Odsal, over five months since last playing a game.
Sutcliffe, who is sent to compete for a centre spot this season, is likely to be joined on the field by Jack Walker, who is also returning from a long-term injury.
Speaking to the club's official website, Agar confirmed his plans for the pair as their preparations for round one pick up speed.
"They'll get some game time, at least 40 minutes out of them," Agar revealed.
"Hopefully both will start, Liam will captain the team if he gets through the week alright.
"It will be fantastic to have those boys back. Obviously, with Jack, it's like having a new player. His pre-season hasn't been without some moments where he's been getting used to running on his foot after a major operation and we've had some little issues around his calves, hamstrings and the impact of learning to run again has had on different areas of his legs. He's looking sharp in training and good to have him back.
"Liam has been back in full training two or three weeks now. We're really happy with how Liam Sutcliffe is looking, he's a class player, a real smart footballer and the timing of getting Liam back for the Hull game and pressing for selection in round one, he's a terrific player."
Agar confirmed that several senior members of the squad will not be selected, with a stronger looking side to be fielded against Hull FC in Tom Briscoe's testimonial game.
The Rhinos boss had previously confirmed both Matt Prior and new arrival David Fusitu'a will not be selected until the warm-up game with their Super League rivals.
