A Leeds pub has been called a “disgrace” and has left punters “horrified” for allowing a German band which uses Nazi symbolism on their merchandise to perform in their venue.
Management at The Drysalters in Ring Road, Beeston has since apologised for allowing the band to perform there and say they were 'none the wiser', even though they publicly dismissed complaints prior to the gig. They went on to say “we as people are not racist”.
The pub has been inundated with complaints. There are many who are angry with the pub, unhappy they allegedly ignored prior warning of the punk band alleged controversial background and allowed them to perform a full gig there. The gig took place on Saturday, July 23.
