The team at the Woodhouse Lane business have freshness at the heart of what they do. From the flour to the yeast and the large variety of flavourful toppings, the popular Italian pizzeria offers high quality food, made with authentic and fresh ingredients, imported directly from Italy.

As proposed by the Italians, the secret to the perfect Roman-style pizza is determined by the light and airy base. Therefore, the skilled chefs at Lievitoo follow a 72-hour process of proving the dough, which results in a fragrant, digestible and appetising pizza, ideal for a range of dietary requirements.

Lievitoo’s head chef Fulvio said: “We do every type of pizza at Lievitoo, including vegetarian, vegan and meat pizzas. It is important that we are inclusive and cater to everyone, so recently we brought back our spicy chicken special as a permanent item on our pizza menu - a suitable halal option for our Muslim customers to enjoy.”

Based opposite the University of Leeds campus, the Italian takeaway is popular with students and university staff. It boasts partnerships with several of the university’s societies and is considered to be at the heart of the community.

As well as the food on offer, the welcome from the warm and friendly staff make the street food venue a must-visit.

Despite experiencing challenges during the coronavirus pandemic, affecting the company’s operations, Lievitoo managed to consistently remain open to the public, to ensure its loyal customers were able to return each day for fresh pizza.

Director of Lievitoo and pizza boss, Andrea said: “All the positive feedback we receive from customers encourages Lievitoo to continue its commitment to bring a way of enjoying good and healthy Italian food to the people of Leeds."

"Our pizzas are perfect for any time and any occasion and what better way to celebrate life than enjoying pizza with your loved ones?”
