Leeds mortgage broker's advice for first time buyers in the city

A mortgage broker from Leeds has said it’s harder to buy a property than it has been before but believes things will change soon.

Elliott Benson, founder of Sett Mortgages in Headingley, believes lockdown restrictions have made people less confident to sell meaning there aren’t as many houses available on the market causing a supply problem.

This has led to more people bidding on one property and it could take months before the process is complete.
