Leeds man 'begging for crack cocaine outside Aldi every day' after tragedy tore life apart

A Leeds man whose life was ripped apart by family tragedy now begs outside an Aldi everyday for loose change so he can buy crack-cocaine.

Alex, 28, who didn't want his last name published, says he lost his parents when he was young. Ever since, he claims the trauma of being an orphan and living in care has pushed him towards drugs.

To fuel his addiction, Alex begs for change outside Aldi in Tunstall Road, Holbeck, so he can scrape together enough money to buy a “£5 stone” of crack. Hanging his head in shame, Alex describes himself as a “crack head”.
