People across the country are gearing up for the Easter bank holidays this weekend.
And many people may be hoping for good weather so they can celebrate the long weekend in the garden with families and friends. Despite it being a slightly bleak week so far, there is some good news as Easter weekend looks set to remain largely dry and sunny.
Good Friday in Leeds will the day start bright, with the majority of the day seeing sunny intervals despite the clouds. Temperatures are expected to peak at around 12° with the Met Office saying: "Dry with long sunny spells for most but possibly cloudier at times along the coast, perhaps with an isolated light shower. Generally light winds."

Sunny changing to cloudy in the afternoon.
- 7am - 10am: The day will start bright and sunny with temperatures reaching 9°
- 11am - 2pm: It will remain sunny but cloudy through the start of the afternoon
- 3pm - 5pm: The sun will disappear for a few hours until around 6pm but temperatures will peak at 12°
- 6pm - 7pm: Leeds will see sunny intervals from 6pm until sunset at 7.50pm
- Nighttime: It will be partly cloudy but dry through the night
Outlook for Saturday to Monday
Saturday will be quite cloudy with some isolated light showers across the area. It will be brighter in the west of the county.
Easter Sunday will be mostly dry with some cloud and bright spells. It will be breezy later in the day.
Monday will see rain clearing to the occasional heavy shower. It will remain breezy.
