Girls from a Leeds charity were forced to serve, tea, coffee, biscuits and snacks during the filming of Children in Needs DIY SOS special.
The BBC One special saw the Leeds community and a string of celebrities coming together to build a new headquarters for charity Getaway Girls. During the construction, two of the girls who are helped by the charity were seen serving tea and snacks to those at the site.
Stunned BBC Radio Two presenter Sara Cox couldn't believe her eyes and queried why the girls were put behind the counter of the makeshift tuck shop. Sara Cox said: “What are you doing here?! You’re from the Getaway Girls and they’ve got you serving tea and coffee and crisps. What’s going on?”
