A delivery driver has been rushed to hospital following a crash between a motorcycle and a car in Beeston on Friday night.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Beeston Road at 7.51pm last night following reports of a collision. A male motorcycle rider was taken to hospital for treatment after sustaining injuries to his arm.
There was initial concern after the incident as witnesses reporter the rider laying in the middle of the road apparently unresponsive. The motorcycle is reported to have been heavily damaged with one witness describing it as "smashed to bits".

The witness told Leeds Live that they had seen the motorbike delivery driver 'knocked off their bike' on Beeston Road near Cross Flatts Park. They claimed the bike has been "totally smashed to bits" and said the rider was laid "not moving or responding" in the road.
Police have since confirmed that the rider of the motorcycle was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries suffered during the crash. A man claiming to be the rider has taken to social media to post from his hospital bed.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called to Beeston Road, Leeds at about 7.51pm on Friday evening following a collision between a motorcycle and a car. The male rider was taken to hospital for treatment to arm injuries."
