A sweet shop which prides in self in having affordable sweets opened in Harehills earlier this year as the owners say "we have options for everyone."
UK Sweet Retreat, in Roseville Road, was founded by 21-year-old Sam Riches and Fidel Mhlolo and opened in March this year.
The pair decided to go into business together after playing football together last year. After months of preparing and jotting down ideas, they opened their first business together.

They sell a range of sweets from American Candy, drinks and Pick and Mix which people pay £1 for 100 grams - 1p per gram and some sweets as cheap as 20p.
Sam said: “We’ve been open since March 12, the first day we opened it was a good day. A lot of people came down.
“I think with the shop, we’re not expensive, it’s not like you spend as much as when you go to a restaurant.
“I think people are always going to buy sweets especially if you have kids, we’re affordable so it helps.
“It’s for everyone because in our shop we want everyone to be able to buy something whether they have a lot of money or no money. We have the options for everyone.”
Sam, runs another business, a goal academy Aspire goalkeeping with another business partner in Hull and also works with Hull City Academy with other aspiring football players.
Despite handling many plates, Sam, from Hull, says he is trying to “grow an empire”, gives his all to his businesses.
However, this is Fidel's first business. The 30-year-old from Leeds says there’s over 2,000 products on offer for customers.
The father of three said: “We’ve got pick and mix, American candy - a huge variation of candy. Drinks from all over the world, chewable treats. We’re creating our own pick and mix bags.
“We’ll be creating our own homemade milkshakes of different flavours, hopefully in the summer we’ll make Tango Ice Blasts.”
