Leeds city centre fire as 'huge' blaze erupts with 'loud explosions'

A large fire has erupted at a building in Leeds city centre this evening (Saturday, October 15).

Loud explosion noises and flames have been spotted at a building in Leeds city centre on Saturday night, with witnesses reporting 'loud bangs.' The incident looks to have happened at the Hilton Hotel construction site in the city centre.

Flames can be seen spreading across a number of the construction sites floors as witnesses have reported Millennium Square has been evacuated. It is not clear how the fire has started yet.
