Construction on Leeds City Centre's brand new district, Aire Park, has reached a major milestone as the structure for two brand new buildings has been completed.
Aire Park is being developed by Vastint UK, who describe the site as a district for workers, residents and the general public. Spread across 24 acres on the South Bank, the development will contain office space, 1,400 homes, two hotels, 18-23 retail spaces and a "multi-use, eight-acre park with 500 trees."
Now, two structures have been completed for two buildings which will contain more than 200,000 square feet of office space.

According to the developers, the two buildings will be completed towards the end of 2023 and are built to accommodate "large-scale" organisations and feature "Impressive ESG" credentials. They will also form the perimeter of a new outdoors events space.
This space will be adjacent to The Tetley and the Salem Chapel is expected to open in 2024. It will be the site of a number of events and activities for residents.
Simon Schofield, Construction Lead North of Vastint UK, said: "Upon completion of these two buildings, Aire Park will be officially open for business. Leeds is highly attractive for major businesses following in the path of Channel 4 and several household-name financial and professional service providers.
"Due to the large-scale, high-quality spaces that we’re providing with these offices, we are already attracting interest from major enterprises looking to move their headquarters to Leeds.
"Whilst the development will be home to approximately 3,000 residents and a working district for over 11,000 workers once complete, we’ve designed Aire Park to be enjoyed by everyone in Leeds. These first buildings mark the start of a thriving community within a new unique, urban district."
When completed, the new buildings range from six to eight stories and are expected to be completed in November. Vastint UK says they will hold 2,500 workers.
Designed by Ryder Architecture, they have an EPC rating of A and will be powered by electricity from renewable sources. Schofield added: "Creating sustainable buildings that provide tenants with a healthy and comfortable environment has always been important to Vastint UK."
