A number of Leeds buses have been forced to divert tonight as youths have smashed a number of bus windows by throwing bricks at them.
Several buses have had to divert from Swarcliffe estate in Leeds tonight (October 12) as youths have pelted them with bricks from a main road, breaking a number of windows.
Services that would usually travel on the A64 York Road and under the flyover along Sherburn Road have been diverted, as these buses have been the main target.

First Bus West Yorkshire said in a tweet: "A64 York Road Flyover and Sherburn Road, Swarcliffe - Reports of youths throwing stones at passing vehicles on the A64 York Road and again as they travel under the flyover along Sherburn Road.
"Several vehicles reported now with broken windows and services to divert until further notice. The 16/16A service towards Pudsey will operate via Naburn App, Coal Rd, Ring Rd, then as normal. Towards Whinmoor, it will operate from Seacroft Centre."
The 40 service to Leeds Rail Station has also been diverted via Ring Road, Swarcliffe Avenue, Swarcliffe Drive, Swarcliffe Lane North, Stanks Drive then as normal.
And the 56 service towards Whinmoor is diverting via Stanks Drive, Stanks Lane North, A64 York Road, Ring Road, Coal Road, Naburn App. Towards Moor Grange, the 56 is diverting via Coal Rd, Ring Rd & Swarcliffe Approach, as a result of the incident.
