Long wait times and 'chaotic' security checks are continuing at Leeds Bradford Airport. Photos have shown long, snaking queues around the airport as people report waiting two hours to pass through security.
Leeds Bradford has been facing severe delays and cancellations of flights due to a shortage of staff. Throughout the Jubilee bank holiday, there have been scenes of 'carnage' as people continue to arrive and face 'mile' long queues.
Sophia Brown, a passenger at the airport reported the wait times and said she hopes her flight is not affected. Earlier today, passengers reported improvements at the airport with some holidaymakers claiming the airport was deserted, with security taking just eight minutes to get through.

However, images and videos taken at the airport this afternoon seem to suggest the chaos has once again reared its ugly head. Sophia said: "The queue is massive and snaking all around the sides of the airport, I certainly hope it doesn’t affect my flight, which is scheduled in two hours."
Sophia said the atmosphere has people very distressed, with eight flights planned to leave between 4pm and 5pm. However, Sophia and others have expressed worries that not everyone will be able to board.
She said: "People are very upset here. There are 8 flights between 4pm and 5pm, my flight included. I can’t understand how they intend to board so many passengers on the planes without leaving some behind or causing substantial departure delays
"I am fortunate enough to be fit and well, so able to cope with the queues. But it’s so sad to see the elderly and young children being put through this. They are advising on wait times, quoting 120-minute wait when joining the back of the queue. They are apologising for the situation, but in all honesty, an apology doesn’t do much in this case."
