Lee Wallace has been tipped to make a return to Rangers if Michael Beale wants to complete a shrewd early move as the next Light Blues manager.
The former Ibrox captain retired after leaving QPR - where Beale is currently boss at - following the end of last season. He is held in high regard by the Rangers fans after his contribution to their rise from the lower leagues back to the Premiership and Dominic Ball reckons a spot for him on the coaching staff in Govan would be a wise move.
Formerly of both Rangers and QPR, the defensive-minded player says it would be good to bring in a keen student of the game: Ball told the Daily Record : “Lee spoke very highly of Michael Beale and Lee is someone whose opinion I really respect. Lee would be a great shout if Michael is looking for someone who knows the club to join his backroom staff.

"I can’t speak highly enough of Lee. I still speak to him now. I know he’s taking some time to study the game. I know he’d go in there and give everything he’s got trying to help Rangers be as good as they can be."
Ball added on Beale moving to Ibrox: "Once you’ve been at Rangers you realise that it’s a club that’s hard to turndown.
"Once you see the size and passion of the fanbase and just how great a club it is - and the potential it has - you can’t say no."
