Ambitious Hearts are pushing to sign highly-rated Suwon attacker Lee Seung-woo on a three-year deal, according to the Edinburgh Evening News.
The 24-year-old is wanted by Jambos and the former Barcelona man is attracting interest from a host of clubs. Hearts signing chief Joe Savage and boss Robbie Neilson have been open in their search for new arrivals and versatile Seung-woo fits the bill.
He spent five years in the famed Barcelona La Masla academy before spending time with Hellas Verona and Sint-Truiden. Seung-woo has been capped 11 times by his country and transfer guru Savage has previously explored potential signing options in Asia. Hearts were interested in Japanese forward Tsuyoshi Ogashiwa in January, however, a deal didn't materialise.
Hearts have been active this summer with the likes of Jorge Grant, Kye Rowles and Lawrence Shankland heading to Gorgie ahead of a long-awaited return to European group stage football. And now Seung-woo could be next but competition is likely to be firm for a player who has netted 10 goals in 22 appearances this season in the K-League.
It comes after Neilson was linked with free agent Jacob Davenport. The versatile midfielder was previously on Aberdeen's radar and has been on the lookout for his next club since leaving Blackburn Rovers over the summer.
