Lee Johnson says Hibs fans played a huge role in their dramatic opening day Premiership victory away at St Johnstone.
The Hibees had the majority of chances in Perth and had a man advantage when Murray Davidson was sent off. It took until the final minutes of the match when Josh Campbell's effort came off Rocky Bushiri and into the net to give Hibs a 1-0 winning start ahead of next Sunday's Edinburgh derby versus Hearts.
Johnson and his team were backed by a loud away support and the former Sunderland boss reckons they had a big say in him winning his first game in the Premiership, telling Hibs TV: “It’s a great start. I’m delighted for the lads and for the fans. They created a really good atmosphere created and that was important for us. It was a difficult game, really tough. First half we had complete control really, had some slick play.
