Hibs manager Lee Johnson is confident that his club would be leading the race for Martin Boyle if he became available.
It's been reported this week that the Hibees have been working quietly in the background on a deal to bring back a player they sold to Saudi Arabian side Al-Faisaly eight months ago. He's been a huge miss for Hibs but it was a money spinning offer neither the club nor winger could afford to turn down.
His current club are now in the Saudi second tier and Johnson announced earlier this week he'd be keen to do business for Boyle if there was an opportunity to do so. Hibs have been busy in the transfer market and take on Edinburgh rivals Hearts this Sunday in their second Premiership match of the campaign. More recruits are on the radar and it is not just Boyle who is being targeted.

Johnson said: “Certainly, there’s open dialogue between the clubs from what I hear but dialogue doesn’t necessarily equate to a signing.
"We’ve got dialogue over four or five players at the moment because we’re still active in the market. Of course we’d love to bring Martin here.

"It won’t be cheap, it would take big investment from the ownership to be able to do that. What the club has done is put ourselves in a position where if Martin ever becomes available, we’re at the front of the queue.
"(Al Faisaly) have got to want to move him on and at the moment we just don’t know the full facts on that.”
